The Co-Op Experience

Smart Systems Technologies students are required to complete 270 hours of paid co-op work — an experience that will help you develop skills in troubleshooting, calibration, automation, and quality improvement. During your co-op placement, you'll showcase your initiative, drive, and problem-solving abilities. You'll also be involved in addressing complex scenarios as part of a high-functioning team.

Prepare for Employment

After completing co-op experiences, the majority of students in the Smart Systems Technologies degree program continue their employment and launch careers as part-time or full-time employees.

At the completion of your co-op, you'll give a presentation on your experience and share the knowledge and skills you gained with faculty, staff, students, industrial mentors, workforce and economic developers, and the community.
