Earn Industry Skills and Credentials

This program is designed for apprentices already working in manufacturing and includes 350 hours of training. You'll earn industry-recognized manufacturing credentials that can boost your current career. Prepare for the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) exams in safety, quality, production process, and maintenance procedure.

Credits you earn in this program may count toward completing our Smart Systems Technologies AAS or Smart Systems Technologies Certificate program.

  • Careers in Advanced Manufacturing

    Produce vital components for industries ranging from automotive to aerospace and medical devices in a rapidly advancing sector. This program was developed in partnership with local industry leaders to align skills with current workplace demands.

    Manufacturing careers, such as industrial machinery mechanics, offer strong earning potential, with a median annual wage of $63,510 (or $30/hour) as of May 2024 (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

    After completing our Foundations in Advanced Manufacturing program, you’ll be prepared for roles such as:

  • Program Costs

    The Foundations in Advanced Manufacturing program costs $5,500. This includes all programming, books, supplies, and certification exam fees. Many participants can reduce the out-of-pocket cost through a SUNY workforce initiative.

Program Schedule and Learning Format
