A Journal of Literature and the Arts
Northern Spy: A Journal of Literature and the Arts is FLCC’s student-led literary journal. Students in ENG 225: Literary Journal Publishing manage all parts of the publishing process, from issuing calls for submissions to reviewing entries.
At Northern Spy, we are proud to publish work from a wide range of creative writers and artists. We showcase work from award-winning writers around the world, and we reserve a special place in each issue for college students in the Finger Lakes and Rochester regions.
This class provides valuable hands-on experience for students interested in pursuing a career in publishing or anyone wanting an inside look at the publishing and editing processes.
In ENG 227: Writing for Literary Podcasts, students will build on the journal by producing audio content for Northern Spy, including interviews with local artists and contributor spotlights.
