Q: I'm a new student. Do I have to get a permit to park on campus?
A: Students do not need to pay for parking or obtain a permit to park on campus to park in "A" lot or "G" lot. Students are not permitted to park in "D" lot which is reserved for faculty and staff from 7:00 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
Q: How do I know if the school decides to close because of bad weather?
A: An FLCC ALERT text and email will be sent if a decision has been made to close the building due to weather conditions. Check our website www.flcc.edu or listen to the radio. Radio stations are advised if a decision has been made to close the building. Radio stations that will carry this announcement are listed below:

- WGVA 1240 am
- WHAM 1180 am
- WSFW 99.3 fm
- WMAX 102.3 fm

Q: Is it okay to park in the fire lane if I'm only going to be there for a minute?
A: No. It's never okay to park there. We don't know when there will be a fire. The same thing goes for all reserved parking areas. These areas are reserved for specific reasons.
Q: What if I don't agree with a parking ticket? Can I contest it?
A: Yes, you may appeal the violation by following the instructions on the ticket. Appeal forms are filed at the Campus Police Office.
