The Applied Learning Office

Engaging in applied learning makes FLCC students more successful, whether that means transferring to a four-year school or moving into the workforce. It also strengthens FLCC's ties to our community and fosters greater community investment in the College. Applied learning is part of FLCC's 2018-2023 Strategic Plan. Plus, it is a SUNY campus-wide initiative, which enables our institution to create an Office of Applied Learning to:

  • Provide centralized applied learning/internship services for campus stakeholders;
  • Act as a liaison for the college to business and industry to develop robust applied learning opportunities for students;
  • Improve student retention and completion through applied learning opportunities, which enhance their educational experience.
