Undergraduate Research Lab Open House: The "Mushroom Lab"

This is a drop-in event in Room 3602 that is open to all.

Curious about what research looks like outside the classroom? Come see FLCC's undergraduate research lab in action! This open house gives students at every level a firsthand look at what we do and how to get involved.

What to expect:

• Lab tours — see our workspace, equipment, and ongoing projects up close.
• Meet current student researchers — hear directly from undergrads about their day-to-day experience, what they've learned, and how they got started.
• Project showcases — short presentations or posters covering our current research questions and findings.
• Info on joining the lab — learn about paid opportunities (work-study, student aide) or course-credit options, and what a typical semester commitment looks like.
• Faculty Q&A — ask the PI (principal investigator) directly about the current projects and research opportunities available this semester.
