FLCC Around the World: Sicily & South Africa

Hear from FLCC faculty and students who participated in study abroad experiences.

FLCC faculty and students will share stories, photos, and reflections about summer study abroad experiences in Sicily and South Africa at Wood Library on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.

The event in the Hamlin Room at the library, 134 N. Main St., features two presentations followed by a question-and-answer session.

A group of 17 faculty, students and alumni spent two weeks in a South African game preserve learning tracking techniques from world-renowned experts and observing wildlife.

Another group of 23 faculty and students spent five weeks in the city of Syracuse, Sicily, learning about art, architecture, vulcanology and viticulture.

FLCC study abroad programs are open to students at other colleges, alumni, recent high school graduates, and the general public. Opportunities are shared in the monthly community newsletter.

The Wood Library event is free and open to the public.
