Purple Thursday

Domestic Violence Awareness Event, hosted by Center for Student Well-Being and Student Life

Purple Thursday is a national day of action held annually in October, during Domestic Violence Awareness month, to raise awareness for domestic violence and show support for survivors. Participants wear the color purple to symbolize peace, courage, survival, and dedication to ending abuse. It serves as an opportunity to start conversations about domestic violence, reduce stigma, and show solidarity with victims and survivors by wearing purple.
