SCAC presents Revolutionary Roots: The 1848 Women's Rights Convention

Thursday, March 27, 2025

The Student Corporation Activities Committee celebrates Women's History Month with a special guest presentation from the Women's Rights National Historical Park. This event is open to all current FLCC students and employees.

How does a social movement grow? With roots in abolitionist activism, a campaign for women’s rights emerged in nineteenth-century upstate New York. This presentation will introduce the five organizers of the 1848 Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention and describe the pitfalls and triumphs of the grassroots campaign to achieve equal rights.

Presented by a Ranger from the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls.
