Calling all curious people! Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the USDA, Plant Genetics Resource Unit in Geneva, NY.
During this unique visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet and learn from scientists who curate vital germplasm collections, explore diverse crop collections (including hemp), vegetables, grapes, and apples. The opportunity to have a tour of the specialized storage facilities at the laboratories that preserve genetic diversity and discover cutting-edge plant research will be taken.
This rare opportunity offers firsthand insights into how scientists safeguard plant biodiversity and develop the crops of tomorrow.
Transportation is not provided. Participants are asked to meet at the Geneva Plant Lab location at 9:00 am.
This event is open to all FLCC students, faculty, and staff.
