Laker Day BioBlitz

Join the FLCC Conservation and Horticulture departments on Earth Day to honor the diversity of life by participating in our 4th annual Laker Day BioBlitz.
Activities kick-off at 8:30 am in the FLCC Arboretum Pavilion (across from FLCC’s Child Care Center).
Different taxa-based surveys, led by the FLCC Conservation and Horticulture departments, will follow the schedules below. Each survey begins and ends at the pavilion. Participants are welcome to join for the full morning or just specific walks.
Light refreshments provided at the pavilion.
List of the surveys:
8:30am: Welcome and Earth Day Address with a Reading from Sand County Almanac (Patty Rockwell)
9am: Plants, Insects, and Fungi (Rob Wink/Shawn Kenaley/Cody Wilkes)
10am: Mammals, Birds, and Amphibians (John Bateman/Maura Sullivan/Shannon Dermody)
11am: Fish and Stream Macroinvertebrates (John Foust/Rob Wink)
This event is open to all FLCC students, faculty, and staff.
