Middle States Accreditation

During the 2010-2011 academic year, Finger Lakes Community College conducted a self study that evaluated how well the programs, resources, facilities and services offered to students, faculty and staff fulfill its Mission. Upon approaching the 50th anniversary of the College, this self study presents us with an opportunity to reaffirm our institution's Strategic Plan.

Our self study addresses the 14 Standards of Excellence established by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and is coordinated by a Steering Committee comprised of faculty, staff and student representatives.

We hope that members of the College community will take advantage of the many opportunities that will be offered throughout the year to provide input and participate in the reaccreditation process.

Student Success

"I chose FLCC because of the small classes and the strong Criminal Justice program. My favorite thing about FLCC is the accessibility of the professors in my degree program. My future goals include transferring to a four-year school and eventually becoming a U.S. Marshal."
