Ability to Benefit (ATB)

The ATB option allows eligible students to be admitted to FLCC while actually working towards obtaining a GED.  After successfully completing specific requirements, students will be eligible to petition NYS to issue a GED while concurrently working on completing their FLCC degree.  To be eligible for the program you must:

  • be 18 years old or your high school class must have graduated
  • Agree to follow course placement requirements for enrolling in a combination of courses which are designed to help ensure success at FLCC
  • Achieve a minimum score on tests of reading, writing and arithmetic skills

ATB Testing is available at the main campus, by appointment. Call 585-394-3500, ext. 7604, to sign up for one of the below testing dates.

  • Mon. Nov 23, 2009, 3 pm
  • Thur. Dec. 10, 2009, 4 pm
  • Mon. Dec. 21, 2009, 2 pm
  • Thur. Jan. 7, 2010, 12:30 pm

Testing is also offered, by appointment, at the Geneva (315-789-6701) and Wayne (315-331-9098) Extension Centers.  Please call for dates and times.
