Make a Gift
Your gift can make the difference in a promising student's ability to achieve academic success, support innovative faculty development; acquire new technology; or launch a new community program. The FLCC Foundation gratefully acknowledges and thanks many individuals and organizations for their contributions made between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013.

Annual Fund/Alumni Fund
The FLCC Annual Fund (for friends, employees and retirees of the College) and the Alumni Fund (for those who have attended CCFL/FLCC) provides vital ongoing support of the programs and services that enhance the educational experience of our students. Although New York State makes operating support available, private support remains essential for the college to grow. Funds continue to support scholarships, faculty and staff development, equipment, and many other valuable programs.
Annual gifts of $1,000 and above qualify donors for membership in the President's Circle.
Where it's Needed
Gifts designated for the Where It's Needed Fund (unrestricted) give the FLCC Foundation the most flexibility to meet changing or urgent needs at the college such as educational material acquisitions, state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
Special Projects and Scholarships
If you wish to designate your annual fund/alumni fund gift to a specific scholarship, program, department or priority, please indicate this when making your gift. For more information on current scholarship programs, current FLCC offerings, or to create a new scholarship, please contact the Resource Development Office at (585)785-1541 or email@example.com.
Memorial or Honorary Gifts
Gifts may be given in memory of a friend or family member or in recognition of significant events such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Together We Can Campaign
Finger Lakes Community College and the FLCC Foundation have embarked on their first ever major gifts campaign, College and Community: Together We Can! This campaign is a bold step for the College and we ask that you partner with us to ensure its success.
FLCC is building a dedicated $3.65 million Viticulture Center with a small adjacent teaching vineyard. Thanks to the advocacy of state Sen. Michael Nozzolio and state Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, the 2012 -13 New York state budget included most of the funding for the construction for the Center on the grounds of the Cornell Agriculture and Food Technology Park in Geneva.
The FLCC Foundation is raising $200,000 to be matched by New York State to fill any gaps in construction costs and build an endowment to support the viticulture program. Proceeds would be used for replacement of the highly specialized equipment necessary for the cultivation of grapes and production of wine, to keep the curriculum current and provide enhanced educational experience for students.
The goal of the project is to equip FLCC with modern greenhouses with square footage 50% larger than the current facility. The new industrial and traditional greenhouses will provide our students and the community with spacious, scientifically controlled learning environments. In addition to expanding the greenhouse facilities, we will upgrade environmental controls to current industry standards.
The 2,700 square foot greenhouse on the campus of the Finger Lakes Community College was originally constructed in 1978 to serve as a classroom for horticulture, conservation and biology students. The original structure, unchanged for nearly 30 years, has deteriorated structurally. Equally important, programs have outgrown the space – limiting opportunities for hands-on experimentation and making the greenhouse a demonstration space only. Each year the limitations are more obvious. It is time for the greenhouse to grow to meet the needs of our students and the community!
Learning Environment Fund
The classroom learning environment is the heart of Finger Lakes Community College. This funds supports classroom, laboratory, and studio expansions and renovations at the Canandaigua campus and the campus centers. Modernization and expansion of our learning environments creates seamless transitions for student to the workplace or four-year institutions.
Student Access and Excellence Endowment Fund
This endowed scholarship fund supports the recruitment and retention of students at FLCC. Rising tuitions, limits on financial aid and a decrease in public funding, collectively decrease access to education, the hallmark of the community college system. With this type of support, FLCC will create new scholarship opportunities for students.
