Our ESL courses deliver basic skills instruction that will put you on the path toward becoming a fluent speaker of the English language. Courses help you practice speaking, reading, and writing in English. We offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced ESL courses.

Program Requirements

  • ESL classes are open to adults and out of school youth age 17 and older.
  • Attend an in-person orientation and assessment session prior to registration.
  • Complete an assessment to measure your progress after every 40 hours of classes.

ESL Program Class Schedule

ESL courses are available through FLCC in fall, spring, and summer semesters with no mandatory time frame for completion.

Earn Your High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma for Free

FLCC also offers a free GED prep program that helps individuals earn a High School Equivalency diploma. Once students gain English language skills and confidence from our ESL courses, many continue on into our HSE program.
